single does NOT equal lonely unless you make it that way.
it doesn’t equal lame, or desperate, or pathetic, or sad, or stupid, or forever alone.
and valentine’s day on your own does not have to equal a bad time.
go make cards for your friends, or deliver roses to their doorsteps like i did last year—i had so much fun.
go to lunch with your siblings, or cuddle up with your pet, or do what i did again and go buy yourself chocolates, just because you can.
be your own valentine if you must—what’s wrong with that? you’re awesome, right? go acknowledge it!
today doesn’t need to be about “giving in to the hallmark way” or any bullshit like that. you dont need to spend money, or buy cards, or flowers, or any other generic/obvious way of celebration. you can do something else…
but for the love of god, do NOT sit around feeling sorry for yourself! figure out what you love, and go love it, and don’t whine, because nobody likes a whiner =]
